Max Black and ELSA Team up for Graphics Performance Breakthrough
First UK Showing for the ELSA GLoria III Graphics Board at
Digital Media World Olympia 14-16 November Stand 106

High performance computer graphics solutions company Max Black will be
unveiling the latest and most powerful professional graphics board from ELSA
in its Storm 2 workstation at the Digital Media World show at Olympia,
London on 14th November 2000.

ELSA GLoria III is based on the NVIDIA Quadro 2 Pro graphics processor with
64Mb of DDR (double data rate RAM). Using four hypertexel pipelines,
performance at 1.6Gtexels per second, is roughly double that of the
successful ELSA GLoria II which features in many of the world's leading
graphical workstations. It supports digital and analogue screens and comes
with a range of optimisation tools for leading graphics software
applications like SoftImage, Maya, 3D Studio Max and AutoCAD.

Max Black's technical manager, Andy Bennett commented, "ELSA GLoria III
offers the highest performance OpenGL that we have seen to date at an
extremely competitive price. With the latest GPU technology and the close
working relationship we have with software vendors we can deliver the
performance that demanding users require."

Storm 2 workstations feature the latest and fastest Intel 840 chipset with
support for symmetric multiprocessing, universal serial bus and 100MHz RDRAM
memory technologies and one or two CPUs' up to 1 GHz. The complete Storm 2
workstation range utilises the high performance of Intel Pentium III(tm) and
XEON(tm) processors. These processors include integrated MMX technology to
give the highest performance possible for demanding applications such as
animation, CAD/CAM, DTP database management, image processing, document
management and digital content creation.
